Q: What's this all about?
A: We started this as a way to offer our reviews and stories from bars, clubs and restaurants around the World. However, with the members section and the ability to add your own reviews and suggestions, we really want to make this an area for social networking - or, as we prefer to call it: social notworking ;-) Over time we'll be adding more features and offers, and hopefully a way for everyone with similar interests (and let's face it, most everyone goes out every now and again) to help and possibly meet each other.
Q: Why 'Thursday' Club?
A: No particular reason. It could have just as easily been 'Wednesday' Club or 'Friday' Club. Just happened we started by going out mainly on Thursdays, and the name stuck!
Q: Can I join the club?
A: Well, we are not a 'club' in the truest sense of the word, but we do have a members area, which you can sign up for, for free. Here you'll be able to network with like-minded people, make new friends and maybe even arrange some great nights out. We're working as hard as we can to add as much content as possible, but why not simply ask the other members. Some great benefits in numbers! If you have suggestions for other things you'd like to see here, please drop us a line.
Q: What sort of places do you visit?
A: We tend to concentrate on the bar, cocktail lounge, restaurant and club market. Definition of a bar? Something more than just a pub: either because of the decor, clientele, reputation and yes - price. We don't do real ale, student dives or dominos pizza and we'll try not to bore you with long lists of fancy sounding dishes or wines. We figure you'd rather know whether a place is cool, what the chances of getting into it in the first place are, roughly how much you're going to be paying as an average and what sort of people are also in there. From the perspective of the places we visit - take it as a 'real-world' view, albeit one enhanced by years of experience in doing this!
Q: Why don't you list the opening hours for each venue?
A: For a couple of reasons. 1) Depending on the venue, the variations by day can take up a lot of space, and 2) There will be days and times when these vary from the norm, and we don't have enough time to try and keep up with these for every venue we list. Suggest you call the place in advance, if you are unsure, or drop us a line and we'll try and find out.
Q: Why haven't you got <insert random venue name here> listed on your site?
A: Quite simply because we've either never been there, or no'one has recommended to add the listing :-) This site is not designed to simply be a huge faceless directory of names and addresses. This means you can be sure you get views on almost everything here, from us or other members.
Q: What if I don't agree with your reviews?
A: Great - we welcome your input! Please add your marks and comments to our review (there's a link to do this at with each review). This will allow us to build up an even more rounded appraisal of the places we visit. If you can't find your favourite venue or city, why not drop us a suggestion? These will benefit everyone else too.
Q: Are you paid by the places you visit?
A: Not for the reviews you see here on this site, no. We are happy for venues or sponsors to invite us along, or to tell us about themselves, but we'll always give an independant review on this site.
Q: Can I come out with you one Thursday?
A: Maybe :-) Drop us a line. By all means though, if you see us out come and say 'hi' (or buy us a drink <g>). You never know, your photo might make it to the gallery!
Q: Why are there more reviews in London than anywhere else? I live in <insert any city other than London here>?
A: There are reviews from many other cities and countries when we get a chance to get away, and this list is expanding all the time. But: we all live in the London area, so for now the site contains more London venues. Happy to talk to people who want to pay for us to visit other countries of course.

A: Yes, please do. We're always looking for new places to go.
