Located in the Grand Hyatt hotel in Wanchai, JJs offers a popular and classy (it's all relative!) split level venue.

We've been here a few times now, but I must admit I've never seen the bottom bar open. Nevertheless the upper bar is normally pretty busy, with a funky live band to keep you entertained.

Like most bars in Wanchai it can get packed with 'working girls'. Unlike a lot of the others, these tend to be Western rather than Filipino, Thai or Vietnamese. A good mix of ex-pat WYD too. Just be aware who's chatting you up ;-)

Service at the large rectangular bar is good and if watching the band isn't your thing you can always people-watch the be-suited guys buying their new 'friends' champagne whilst puffing on an expensive cigar.

Hong Kong offers up some good hotel bars, and we'd certainly include JJs amongst them. Not as good a view as some of the others - at least not out of the windows anyway ;-)


Final Word: This place is pretty cool, and it attracts a well-off, classy crowd. Great bands (of the soul/funk type when we went) and a good atmosphere.

- Packed with high class call girls, so be careful (or at least know!). Pricey.
