review for PS Cafe,28b Harding Road,Singapore, PS Cafe is another addition to the Tanglin Village revamp from military barracks to trendy night spot. Possibly more infamous as a pseudo celeb hang out but I have no idea how true this is as I would not know a local celeb unless they were pointed out in their own scandalous sex video in which case I may take more interest in the article...

It's in the past been slated by a variety of people for poor service, rudeness or any number of perceived crimes. And as is always the case either these wrinkles get sorted out with time or it is indeed the patrons who didn't understand that no beach wear is really suggesting you make an effort.

So with that in mind I can only make my own views made on my own experience. Firstly, PS Cafe is established and showed no indication of the issues it may have had in its early days. Secondly, our small party of six was courteously looked after and even when another waif and stray joined our party later in the evening they were quickly accommodated and an additional meal quickly ordered and acquired.

So if you have had previous issues then I can only say I had none, and whether that was pure luck or not I cannot say but I certainly would give it another try.

The simple menu caters for veggie and carnivore alike and although not a huge menu we did sample a good portion of it and were presented with delicious food to tame our hungry crowd. A selection of cocktails, in both virgin and more experienced form, were available and also enjoyed by the mix of nominated drivers and alcoholically defined passengers.

The restaurant itself is a light and airy affair and the open kitchen gives you a view on the organised chaos that is hidden in any busy Friday night restaurant.

Sitting outside is also an option in the green leafy surrounds of the establishment and if you are of a more dynamic character than mine you could even enjoy breakfast/brunch here at the weekends.

PS Cafe, try it, you may actually like it!

Final Word: Nice food, nice ambience and a nice wine list. Nice.

+ Good simple food and a nice ambience
- Apparently can be hard to book. Personally I found it harder to find!
